Every tier's exact numbers
Ascendancy is a hero classification typing test — every simulation you run gets checked against ten fixed tiers, each with its own minimum WPM, accuracy and consistency. You need to clear all three at once; there's no trading a strong metric for a weak one. Here's the complete table, in progression order.

What the curve tells you
The thresholds don't rise in a straight line, and that's deliberate. Notice AEGIS demands 95% accuracy at only 62 WPM — a much harder accuracy bar than the faster PULSE tier right after it, which only needs 91%. AEGIS exists to reward someone who's mastered precision before chasing raw speed; PULSE rewards the opposite path. There's no single "correct" order to build your skills in — the tiers just mean different things depending on which metric got you there.
Why VELOCITY and SOVEREIGN loosen accuracy slightly
Look closely and VELOCITY's accuracy requirement (92%) is actually lower than AEGIS's (95%), even though VELOCITY sits higher in the progression. At 110+ WPM, maintaining the same accuracy ceiling as a 62 WPM run is a fundamentally harder motor-control problem — the threshold curve accounts for that instead of pretending speed and precision scale together forever.
Your classification tracks your best run, per language
Your current hero is your highest-ever classification for whichever language you're typing in — not an average, and not shared across languages. Clearing NEXUS in English proves nothing about Spanish; each locale keeps its own progress. Your Ascendant Console shows exactly which of the three metrics is holding your next tier back. If your WPM already clears NEXUS but your consistency doesn't, more raw speed practice won't move you — steadier pacing will. Cross-reference the table above against your own numbers before deciding what to train next, rather than guessing.

The same table, as a curve
Worked example: classifying a real run
Say a run comes back at 63 WPM, 92% accuracy, 70% consistency. Walk it down the table: it clears NOVA, VANGUARD (35 WPM · 85% · 50%) and PHANTOM (45 WPM · 88% · 55%) easily. TITAN needs 55 WPM, 90% accuracy and 60% consistency — 63/92/70 clears all three, so this run is at least TITAN. Check AEGIS next: 62 WPM, 95% accuracy, 65% consistency. The WPM clears (63 ≥ 62) and consistency clears (70 ≥ 65), but accuracy doesn't — 92% falls short of AEGIS's 95% requirement. So this run classifies as TITAN, and accuracy specifically — not speed, not consistency — is what's holding it back from AEGIS. That's the diagnostic value of three independent gates: a single composite score would have hidden which metric actually needed the work.
Frequently Asked Questions
If my WPM already clears a tier, why wasn't I classified into it?
Because all three thresholds have to clear together, not just one. Check that tier's accuracy and consistency requirements specifically — one of the other two is very likely what's falling short, even though the WPM number looks fine on its own.
Why does AEGIS require higher accuracy than PULSE, even though PULSE sits at a higher WPM?
That's deliberate, not an inconsistency — see "What the curve tells you" above. AEGIS rewards someone who's mastered precision before chasing speed, while PULSE rewards the opposite skill path. Neither route is more "correct" than the other.
Does my classification reset if I have a bad run right after a good one?
No. Your hero is your best-ever verified run for that language, not your most recent attempt or an average. A slower run immediately after a strong one doesn't touch your existing classification.
Is the same tier table used for every language I type in?
The threshold numbers are the same, but your classification itself is tracked separately per language. Clearing a tier in English says nothing about your classification in another language — each one keeps its own progress.
