The math behind the classification system
Every hero classification on Ascendancy has independent minimum thresholds for WPM, accuracy and consistency — you don't get to average your way past a requirement. SOVEREIGN needs 96%+ accuracy no matter how fast you type. A blazing 140 WPM run at 85% accuracy won't classify anywhere near the top, because accuracy is the hard gate, not a bonus stat.
Errors cost more time than they seem to
On most typing interfaces, a single mistake costs you the time to type the wrong character, notice it, and correct it — often 3-4 keystrokes of overhead for a 1-character error. Typing 10% faster while making 3x the errors is almost always a net loss in real elapsed time, even before it affects your accuracy score directly.
Your hands already know what to do — get out of the way
Most accuracy problems aren't a knowledge problem, they're an interference problem.
